Thank you for using LeetAnalyzer ("Extension," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how your information is handled when you use our browser extension, which provides code complexity and optimization analysis using OpenRouter AI.

1. Information We Collect

Our extension is designed to be privacy-conscious. We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) to our own servers.

• Selected Text (Code): When you activate the extension to analyze code, the extension temporarily reads the text you have explicitly selected on your active webpage.
• API Keys: If you provide an OpenRouter API key, it is stored securely and locally on your device using the browser's built-in chrome.storage or equivalent extension storage. The key is securely retrieved only when making requests to the OpenRouter AI API on your behalf. We do not have access to your API key.

2. How We Use and Share Information

The information accessed by the extension is strictly used for the core functionality of the product:

• AI Analysis: The text/code you select for analysis is transmitted securely via HTTPS directly to OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai/). OpenRouter's own privacy policy applies to the data processed by their services. We recommend reviewing OpenRouter's privacy policy to understand how they handle data.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
• We do not track your browsing history or monitor pages unless you explicitly invoke the extension to analyze content on that specific page.

3. Permissions Explained

The extension requires certain permissions to function properly:

• contextMenus: To provide a right-click menu option for analyzing selected code.
• storage: To save your settings, preferences, and API key locally on your device.
• activeTab and scripting: To temporarily read the code you select on the active webpage so it can be sent to the AI for analysis.
• <all_urls> Host Permission: To ensure the extension can read your selected code across any coding website or page you choose to use it on.

4. Data Retention

No user data or analyzed code is stored on any servers controlled by us. Your API keys and preferences remain on your local device and can be deleted by you at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's storage data.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
